Calvary Lutheran Church
Solano Beach, California
The project includes altar furniture, and stained glass, which was constructed in a large tower measuring over 80 feet high. The stained glass depicts earth, wind water and fire, which is also a symbolic color representation of the four liturgical seasons.
The altar reflects three hills below. The first layer, in cherry, is a symbol of hope. The third layer to the rear is in purple heart, also known as blood of Christ wood, which suggests sacrament.
The font includes a crystal linen bowl and when lit it gives a sense of our New Life in Christ that we have through baptism.
