St. Anthony’s
Mt. Shasta, California
This stained glass window measures approximately 28 feet high and 9 feet wide. The design is a reflection of a cup, which itself is a symbol of holy communion. At the top of the design there is a dove descending, a picture of the Holy Spirit. The dove descends through the clouds of praise, which suggests the form of angel wings. A ray of crystal light pierces through the center upon Mt. Shasta; and below is a water fall, a reminder of baptism. On each side of the clouds is the tree of life and tree of knowledge, a new life in Christ.
